On March 16 and 17, a session on individual tailoring of shoes will be held at the John Lobb store in GUM.
John Lobb is one of the world's oldest footwear brands. It was founded in London back in 1866, during the reign of Queen Victoria. Clients of the brand included the King of Great Britain Edward VII and the great tenor Enrico Caruso, John Lobb boots were worn by the legendary character of Ian Fleming James Bond.
Today, the John Lobb brand not only produces a finished shoe line, but also carries out special orders - it creates shoes by individual standards.
Unlike other shoe brands, John Lobb not only selects the style and type of leather to your taste, but also offers to create a completely new model: just depict it on paper or describe it in words. A registered wooden block is manually created for each foot, which is then carefully stored in the workshop - for new orders. If, over time, the outline of the foot changes slightly, then the block is adjusted. To receive orders and take individual measurements, the master Emmanuel Rainier will specially come to the John Lobb store in GUM.
