Moda HSE opens up recruitment program for buyers in the fashion industry
Event endedThe course "Buying and Assortment Policy in the Fashion Industry" starts on February 18, 2019 at the National Research University Higher School of Economics (ModaHSE) with the support of Fashion Consulting Group. The unique program of the course assumes a fundamental immersion in all aspects of the profession, taking into account the modern requirements and expectations of the fashion market. Based on the results of training, a diploma from the Higher School of Economics is issued. The course is limited.
Today, the fashion industry is in dire need of qualified buyers who can provide effective sales and business competitiveness in today's market. In addition to the love of fashion and aesthetic taste, this profession requires knowledge of macro-trends, an accurate understanding of demand, the ability to calculate budgets, analyze sales and choose the “right” fashion trends for your company.
The annual course was developed by the Center for Management and Communication in the Fashion Industry of the Higher School of Economics (ModaHSE) with the support of leading business consultants in the fashion industry. Over the course of 3 months, students will learn modern buying methods, master calculation formulas for efficient purchasing, and develop the creative vision needed to work with fashion trends. The training is based on the analysis and implementation of practical exercises for brands and stores.
The program was curated by Mikhail Kolovangin, chief buyer at Mercury. Among the teachers are leading practitioners from Fashion Consulting Group, Mercury, Bosco, Lamoda, Tommy Hilfiger, Van Laack, etc.
