One of the important criteria by which to evaluate shoes is the material they are made of. Genuine leather, vegan alternatives and textiles with a membrane - they all have their pros and cons, and it is important to start from your own request: what is the specific pair of shoes needed for.
"Genuine Leather provides excellent thermal insulation and durability, but requires regular maintenance. Vegan leather more manageable and easier to care for, but may wear out faster. Textile models and pairs of nylon convenient for active recreation and walking, but not very versatile - not suitable for a business style look. Split leather has a good thermal insulation effect and is softer than natural leather, but without high-quality water-repellent treatment, it can lose its properties,” shared the Tamaris brand expert.

When choosing shoes, pay attention to the insulation - the comfort of your feet in sub-zero temperatures will directly depend on it. A high-quality lining made of fur, fleece, wool or eco-fur and the presence of a Gore-Tex or Duo-Tex membrane will help keep your feet warm and protect them from moisture. These technologies create a balanced microclimate inside the shoes, which is especially valuable on cold winter days. The presence of insulated tongues and reinforced lacing will be an additional plus.
