Iran exports shoes, synthetic leather hit $100 million
Director of the Iranian Association of Shoemakers Rasul Shajari, speaking at the international exhibition of shoes, bags, leather and related industries MPEX 2022 (Jan. 9, 2022), noted that in the last financial year (ended March 20, 2021), shoes and $100 million worth of synthetic leather, IRNA reported.
The head of the association added that 76 million dollars of the total amount is for shoes, and the rest is for synthetic leather. At the same time, 220 million pairs of shoes are produced in Iran annually.
