Information, inspiration, orders - these are the three pillars of the international footwear exhibition GDS, which takes place twice a year in Dusseldorf. In spring 2010, the exhibition will take place from 12 to 14 March. 1145 participants from 42 countries will bring collections of the Autumn-Winter 2010/2011 season.
The market decline continued for a long time, and in response to this, the exhibition organizers reduced the area of stands and proposed a more individual approach to the design of stands. The exhibition will develop through the creation of more individualized style spaces for individual companies and for segments. So that GDS has established itself in a new positioning - a fashion and trend exhibition.
A unified section has now been created for companies placing orders for premium footwear. Prime Square, Upper Style and The White Cubes will merge into one section called Prime² (Prime Squared). Here you can find both progressive fashion brands and firms that adhere to traditional handicrafts in technology, and classics in style. Everything is in pavilion 4.
In parallel with the GDS exhibition, the GLOBAL SHOES exhibition will be held, the leading exhibition on outsourcing. Due to the crisis, some participants in this exhibition refused to participate at the end of last year, but the market revived and they returned to the exhibition with renewed vigor and an optimistic outlook on the future. Everything in Pavilion No. 8.
“The global footwear business has stabilized,” noted Kirstin Deutelmozer, GDS and GLOBAL SHOES exhibition director, “that's why in the spring we don’t expect too much reduction in the number of exhibitors and visitors.”
By the way, Ms. Deutelmozer received the Fashion Fuchs 2009 award in December. As the jury noted, “Kirstin Doytelmozer changed the exhibition landscape of Düsseldorf, and her management style can be called exemplary.”
The Russian representative office of the organizing company GDS - "Messe Dusseldorf Moscow" - is now working to simplify the system for obtaining visas to Germany for a trip to the exhibition. You can also contact them for any advice on brands or organization of meetings. We remind you that the exhibition will be held from 12 to 14 on March 2010.
