Renowned footwear designer Raymond Massaro, who produces footwear under his own name Massaro, will visit the French Pavilion at MosShoes on 28 September. This is the first official visit of a designer from the oldest shoe dynasty to Moscow. The Massaro shoe house has been known throughout the fashion world since 1885. It was here in 1957 that the two-tone shoes for Chanel were created with a black toe. Chanel was just the beginning of a long journey in fashion - Massaro worked with all fashion houses - from Madeleine Vionnet and Schiaparelli to Paco Rabanne, Galliano, Dominique Sirop and Anne Valerie Hash. Massaro's clients at various times included Baroness von Bismarck, Marlene Dietrich, Elizabeth Taylor, Romy Schneider. In 1994, Raymond Massaro was named Master of the Arts by the French Ministry of Culture. In Japan, he was awarded the title of "Living Treasure". But this man is not only a master of leather cutting, he created his own school of orthopedics, is engaged in the history of shoes, recreating historical artifacts, for example, the boots of Napoleon and Joan of Arc.
