Adidas not giving up

German sporting goods manufacturer Adidas raised its forecast for annual earnings after a second-quarter report thanks to sponsorship deals at Euro-2012 and the Summer Olympics in London.

Only Nike in its segment announced that it now expects earnings of 3,68-3,75 euros ($ 4,53- $ 4,61) per share. The previous forecast was at the level of 3,58-3,75 euros, retailer.ru reports.

Nike sales in the second quarter amounted to 3,517 billion euros, operating profit - 256 million euros, being better than experts expected. Analysts polled by Reuters suggested that operating profit would reach 243 million euros and sales would amount to 3,496 billion euros
