Adidas Originals summarizes “Odes to the City”

Adidas Originals has completed the large-scale Ode to the City project, in which 45 city heroes from Moscow and St. Petersburg took part. Each participant embodied in the author's design of adidas Originals ZX Flux sneakers his attitude to one of the two largest Russian megacities. The main prize of the design competition was the release of a limited edition ZX Flux for two winners.

Unusual art objects have appeared in the central districts of the two capitals since the beginning of September. Moscow was represented in the project by musicians Noize MC, Dolphin and ST, Therr Maitz and On-The-Go groups, Apostol General Director Tina Kandelaki, Olympic medalists Alena Zavarzina and Vic Wilde, tennis player Maria Kirilenko, sports commentator Dmitry Guberniev, Head of the Department culture of Moscow Sergey Kapkov, Gorky Park and MUZEON Park of Arts, British Higher School of Design and Moscow Coding School, city Internet newspaper The Village and Tsvetnoy department store, Moscow Museum of Modern Art and Gogol Center, Kamchatka bar, LavkaLavka farmer's cooperative and Lambada Market fair, bloggers Maga MGD and Natalya Turovnikova, founder of the Street Kit gallery Sabina Chagina, Absurd Skateboarding, Brandshop and Fott, Chop-Chop hairdresser, and also the agencies Ketchum Maslov, Louder and TBWA. In the northern capital, the design of giant sneakers was created by the ballerina Diana Vishneva, TV and radio host Ksenia Sobchak, Boris Eifman theater, basketball player Andrey Kirilenko, the Schastye family of restaurants, MINT and Code 7 stores, Aurora Fashion Week, AVG promo group, club House of Life "and the Bad Balance group. All participants demonstrated their individuality and showed creativity: the design of each sneaker was inspired by the feelings, memories, emotions and impressions of the authors of their favorite city.

In an online poll for the best ZX Flux shoe design, winners were determined in each city. The SEREBRO group won by a wide margin in Moscow, with 22 votes, and in St. Petersburg, the Anteater streetwear brand with 865 votes.

The limited edition ZX Flux sneaker with a design from SEREBRO and Anteater will appear in adidas Originals stores in 2015 in a limited edition. The ZX Flux, which has already won fans around the world, catches the eye and sets the direction for trends. Thanks to its laconic design and modern seamless technology, it opens up unlimited possibilities and is the ideal canvas for the realization of the most daring ideas. Thus, brand lovers and fans of the project participants made their choice which ZX Flux they will wear next season.
