The success in Russia of the German sports goods manufacturer Adidas exceeded the company's expectations, Deutsche Welle reports. As the head of the concern Herbert Heiner said in an interview with the Welt am Sonntag newspaper, by the end of this year, Adidas’s turnover in Russia will exceed one billion euros. “Thus, we will achieve our goal a year earlier than planned,” he added.
According to Heiner, in Russia, the company is reaping the benefits of a decade of preparatory work. In Soviet times, the company provided equipment for athletes from the USSR, and today the concern in Russia has significantly more stores than its competitors, and they occupy the best retail facilities. According to Herbert Heiner, Adidas expects the greatest dynamics from the Russian, Chinese and North American markets.
