Adidas in Russia will be one billion

Adidas Group sales in Russia in 2014 will exceed 1 billion euros. “Russia is a big market for us, the third largest market in the world,” said CEO Herbert Hainer. - In the first half of 2014, the Adidas business in Russia grew by 18%, and we will invest in this business. New shopping centers will open, and we will open our stores there ”.

At the moment, the group has about 1100 Adidas and Reebok stores in Russia. In the summer, the company announced plans to open 80 new retail outlets by the end of 2014 and the same number in 2015.

This is not the first time that Adidas has achieved sales of 1 billion euros in Russia, Heiner said: in 2012-2013. the group has already recorded similar results. In 2012, the revenue of the Russian LLC "Adidas" amounted to 44,1 billion rubles, in 2013 - 45,4 billion rubles. However, it is important to consider that the euro was then much cheaper: 39,9 rubles. and 42,4 rubles. for 1 euro, respectively, against 55,6 rubles. according to the Central Bank to date.

In the first six months of 2014, the total revenue of the Adidas Group was almost 7 billion euros. For the reporting period as a whole, according to Heiner, growth is expected "by double-digit percent".
