The updated silhouette of the adidas Ultraboost 21 running shoe features increased cushioning. LEP (Linear Energy Push) technology integrated into the outsole provides 15% more stability in the forefoot and midfoot, the brand said in a press release. The upper is made from Primeblue, which is 50% recycled oceanic plastic sourced from coastal areas.
“With the adidas Ultraboost 21, we've developed our most successful shoe ever that combines comfort and responsiveness. Ultraboost is adidas' flagship innovation, whose main goal is to create new shoes that are better than the previous ones. The Ultraboost 21 retains the aesthetic of the original shoe while utilizing the latest technologies such as the adidas LEP system to provide comfort, support and energy return. The Ultraboost 21 is a big brand statement, a truly unique product that combines everything you want from a sneaker, ”says Moritz Höllmüller, senior director of shoe design at adidas Running.
The adidas Ultraboost 21 will be available in several colors in adidas stores and on the brand's website from 28 January.
