Afimall is asked to close

The Moscow prosecutor's office demanded to close the Afimall City shopping and entertainment center. The requirement is explained by the fact that representatives of the shopping center ignore fire safety requirements.

Earlier, the Prosecutor's Office of the Central Administrative District of Moscow carried out an inspection and found that fires broke out several times at both the construction and operation facilities of the Moscow City. In 2012, a major fire broke out in the East tower of the Federation complex. In 2013, the north tower of the Capital Group skyscraper caught fire. In February 2014, a fire broke out on a construction site near the Afimall City shopping center. The combustion area was 40 square meters. Two thousand people had to be evacuated. A little more than a month ago, a cable caught fire in the Evolution tower under construction.

Back in May 2013, the Prosecutor's Office of the Central Administrative District of Moscow announced that violations were identified in the Moscow City business center that pose an immediate threat to the life and health of people.
