Alphabet will expand on the Internet

In 2012, the chain of footwear stores "Alphabet" will suspend the opening of new outlets and focus on the development of an online store.

The Alphabet network has suspended the opening of new outlets. So, in 2011, the retailer opened only one store in Nizhny Novgorod and relocated two objects in the Moscow region, while at the end of 2010 he announced plans to increase the network by 12-15 points.

The reason for the suspension of expansion was the company's desire to focus on improving the efficiency of existing outlets, as well as the intention to develop an online store project, which was launched in January this year. Currently, the online store "Alphabet" presents 1 names of shoes (for comparison, in an offline store with an area of 500 sq. M - 300), reports Retailer.ru.

According to the company’s forecasts, by the end of 2012, revenue from online sales will be equal to those of the most successful offline store Alphabet, but the retailer does not disclose exact numbers, writes arendator.ru.
