AliExpress Russia is going to nullify the commission for Russian sellers

The coronavirus epidemic provoked an even greater outflow of consumers from traditional online retail. In a difficult period for the retail business, AliExpress Russia wants to stimulate the interest of Russian companies in selling their products on the AliExpress marketplace and will reset the commission for all Russian suppliers.

“The trend of the flow of consumer demand from offline to online is not new - we have been observing it all 10 years of AliExpress's existence. The current boom in online ordering is fueled not only by the rise of online services - shoppers are being careful not to shop. In this situation, online sales channels become mainstream for many businesses. And many businesses are now in a difficult situation. We want to support manufacturers and suppliers not only as a platform for product placement, but also as a partner: zeroing the commission encourages newcomers to try online trading, and for experienced online sellers it will give the opportunity to trade with maximum margins - through the marketplace, ”commented the CEO of AliExpress Russia "Dmitry Sergeev.

Now the commission for sellers on the AliExpress Russia site is 5 or 8%, depending on the category of goods. The zeroing of the commission will affect all product categories and will be valid for six months after entering the marketplace for the first 100 orders. Sellers who register on AliExpress Russia after March 31st will be able to take advantage of the new terms.

The AliExpress marketplace presents products of more than 10 thousand Russian companies, which have more than 1,5 million products in the categories of clothing, footwear, accessories, watches and jewelry, household appliances and electronics, goods for children, home, garden, repairs, cars, sports, as well as cosmetics and consumer goods.
