American footwear brand Allbirds and the Pantone Color Institute have released their most diverse collaboration yet. The new Allbirds Wool Cruiser sneakers will be released on Tuesday in 19 different color options, from deep red to navy blue.
The palette includes 5 exclusive shades: Sapphire Blue, Spicy Citron, Golden Sun, Bright Flower and Granite Gray.
The upper of the shoe is made from wool obtained by recycling previously used knitwear and recycled polyester.
“We wanted to create something that would be a beautiful canvas for color,” said Allbirds chief designer Adrian Nyman. “And naturally, when we thought about who the authority on color was, Pantone was our first choice.
The bright collaboration is Allbirds' response to declining sales and the search for solutions that will bring back consumer interest. The price of a pair of Allbirds Wool Cruiser is $100.
