Asics Expands Retail In India

The Japanese brand of sportswear and footwear Asics has announced plans to open another twenty monobrand stores in India next year, worldfootwear.com reports.

Now the network of branded retail brand in India has 22 stores, 7 of them were opened in the first half of this year. In the second half of 2017, it is planned to open another 7 retail outlets. Next year, the company plans to continue developing the network.

Also, according to the managers of Asics, the brand is going to strengthen its presence on e-commerce sites, as well as expand marketing channels for development in regional markets.

Currently, Asics products are already in the range of major online stores in India. Online sales account for almost 20% of the company's turnover.

To support its expansion in the Indian market, the brand is expanding its product range by adding new positions to its main category of running shoes - cricket, badminton, tennis and wrestling shoes.
