American AuthenticBrandsGROUP (ABG) continues to expand its brand portfolio, it has announced the completion of its acquisition of a British footwear brand HunterBoots, - writes worldfootwear.com.
Recall that just a year ago the portfolio ABG expands with Reebok brand. The British Hunter is primarily known for its high rubber boots model, which is also called Wellington boots around the world and produces various other models of rubber boots for adults and children.
The purchase amount of Hunter Boots was not disclosed. “We are pleased to complete the acquisition of Hunter, a pioneer in original footwear and outerwear. At the intersection of fashion and outdoor activities, Hunter represents another high-end global brand in Authentic Lifestyle's diverse portfolio,” commented Jamie Salter, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Authentic Brands Group (ABG).
ABG also announced that UK-based Batra Group will become Hunter's primary licensee in the UK and Continental Europe and will be responsible for the design and development of footwear, apparel and accessories, as well as retail, wholesale and online sales of the brand. Additionally, Marc Fisher Footwear will take on a similar role for Hunter Boots in the US.
The American group of companies continues to expand and diversify its portfolio, with Authentic Brands Group's latest acquisitions being Ted Baker, Vince Brand and Boardriders, and last year Reebok.
In Russia, rubber boots and dutiks Hunter Boots are available in the assortment of the Lamoda online marketplace.
