The Austrian shoe brand HÖGL, whose retail chain has about 30 of thousands of free-standing stores operating in 42 countries of the world, is entering the North American market for the first time in its eighty-year history, the website vampfootwear.com reports. The family company is confident that their shoes, which are distinguished by technological components such as the Gore-Tex sole, will be able to successfully compete in the American shoe market in the premium segment, which, by the way, is going through difficult times today, “even well-known brands they feel not very confident on it, ”the article notes.
However, HÖGL is not afraid of this. “Our goal is to become the first brand of women's shoes in the United States, which we already are in other countries of the world,” the company says. By the way, ten years ago, HÖGL already made an attempt to develop in the United States through its distributor, however, as the company notes, brand promotion requires a separate work, which they are now going to take seriously.
In the US market, HÖGL starts already with the autumn collection, which is represented by various models of shoes made of soft leather and suede in a traditional color scheme for autumn, the key colors are coal and burgundy. The retail price of shoes will average $ 225- $ 325. The price of boots and ankle boots is $ 250-490.
HÖGL was founded in Austria in 1935 and is one of the world's leading manufacturers of women's shoes. The company has more than 1.200 employees at its head office in Taufkirchen in Prague and at its own production facilities. The annual turnover of the enterprise exceeds 100 million euros.
