The Kari store in Barnaul was accused of violating the advertising law. Checks began after the complaint of one customer who was not given a discount on a second pair of shoes. The seller explained the refusal by the fact that one of the pairs bought did not participate in the action.
During the consideration of the case, the antimonopoly department established that at the time of inspections in the store there was a promotion “for the second pair -50% or the third pair for free when buying two pairs”. The fact that the action applies only to goods with the special sign "Super price" was not indicated anywhere. The 50% discount applied only to the lowest priced pair of shoes. Lack of information on special conditions of the shares is actually unfair advertising and is considered a violation of the law.
A Kari spokesman acknowledged the violation, OFAS demanded that the problem be fixed, but the retailer could still be held administratively liable.
