Belarusian suppliers lack branded shoes

The increased demand for winter footwear is felt this winter in Belarus, about this portal www.interfax.by told the participants of the International specialized exhibition “Obuv. Bags. Accessories ”, which will be held in Minsk from 15 to 18 February 2011.

“Winter-autumn is always a good season for shoemakers. It’s like for flower-growers on March 8 and for artists - New Year. This winter was very snowy, so there was an increase in sales compared to the previous two years. There was even a small shortage of imported winter footwear, ”said the representative of the ShikGroup company.

According to wholesalers, the high demand for winter shoes is largely due to forecasts of extremely cold winters. So far, these forecasts have not materialized, but the main peak of sales of winter shoes has already ended. According to the director of the Topo company Evgeny Markevich, the supply volumes will increase next season: “This year there were no men's shoes at all. We are also pleased with the sales of women's shoes. ”

New participant of the exhibition “Shoes. Bags. Accessories ”, representative of Rylko factory Yuri Kaminsky said that this year a small batch on a sheepleather was specially sewn for Belarus. Kaminsky noted that this winter throughout the country there were fairly cheap low-quality shoes in the markets. Buyers lacked quality branded shoes. Yuri Kaminsky suggested that the demand for spring-summer shoes should also be high: “Many buyers were afraid to spend money before the New Year. But all the main events in the country took place, the dollar did not jump, the situation is stable. Therefore, the purchasing power of the Belarusians will be high. ”

2nd International Specialized Exhibition “Shoes. Bags. Accessories ”will be held from February 15 to 18, 2011 in Minsk in the pavilion of the NEC BelExpo.
