Belvest prepares to expand to Russia

Belvest Company announced plans to develop a chain of stores in Russia up to Siberia and the Far East.

In 2014, about 60 Belvest stores are to open in Russia. Such plans were announced by the general director of the enterprise, Yuri Sumaneev.

New stores will appear not only in the Central Federal District, but will cover the territory up to Siberia and the Far East. The management plans to open seven outlets in Irkutsk and two in Yekaterinburg.

“Belvest's footwear” is widely distributed. At the same time, most of the produced assortment goes abroad, primarily to Russia. The geography of distribution also includes the countries of the European Union, ”Yuri Sumaneev said.

In 2012, the branded retail chain "Belvest" consisted of 284 stores in Belarus, Russia and Latvia. In 2013, the number of stores increased to 325, of which 41 are located in Belarus and 7 in Latvia.

Let us remind you that Belvest was founded in 1988 as a joint venture with the German company Salamander. Today it is a joint Belarusian-Russian venture. Its participants are the Belarusian state concern for the production and sale of light industry goods (Bellegprom), whose share in the authorized capital is 55%, and the Russian investment industrial company Investprom, with a 45% share. The Belvesta collection includes men's, women's and school shoes made of genuine leather. The factory also produces shoe care products under its own brand.
