Belvest is negotiating cooperation with leading Italian shoe manufacturers

Belvest is negotiating cooperation with leading Italian footwear manufacturers. This was announced by Gennady Vyrko, Chairman of the Bellegprom Concern.

“Contacts with leading Italian manufacturers are being worked out, in the near future we expect a visit of one of their leaders to our country, the issue of organizing a high-level meeting is being considered,” the head of the concern said. The Belarusian company is counting on a comprehensive partnership with foreign colleagues. “It’s just that you can’t characterize it by joint production, it’s also entry into their sales network, it’s access to their design, development and so on. Of course, we are primarily interested in the luxury assortment, ”said Gennady Vyrko.

According to the chairman of Bellegprom, production capacities in Belarus are enough to increase the output of shoes by 2,5-3 times. “We have no problems with the sale of shoes,” he stated. Great prospects for increasing exports of these products are opened by the market of the Common Economic Space. “Here we are together with Russian manufacturers, supplying approximately 50 million pairs of shoes with the needs of 500-600 million pairs,” he emphasized. “We have where to move.”

Answering a question about the conditions for implementing projects to create two new shoe holdings in Belarus, Gennady Vyrko noted that this issue has only just begun to be worked out, and an appropriate concept is being prepared.

As previously reported, the holdings are planned to be formed on the basis of the leading Belarusian footwear manufacturers - “Marko” and “Belvest”. So, "Marko" plans to create such a structure on the basis of its own capacities, as well as connection to the project of the Lida shoe factory, Smilovichi felting-felt factory and "Vitebsktekstiltorg", writes IA "Belta".
