Bikkebergs is reissuing its iconic football sneaker in collaboration with Russian designer Gosha Rubchinskiy, known for his post-Soviet aesthetic. The new version of the sneaker is part of the spring-summer 2026 collection, which is being presented at the Pitti Uomo fair in Milan, writes Footwearnews.com.
The sneakers with leather uppers are available in three colorways — white, green, and black. Design features include an enlarged tongue with an embossed Bikkembergs logo, side stripes with the brand's signature tape, and the signature Cyrillic logo of the Russian designer "Gosha Rubchinskiy." Each pair of sneakers comes with two sets of waxed cotton and polyester laces and a dust bag in green and black.
The Bikkembergs football boots, priced at €220, will be available on both brands' websites, as well as in a number of retail stores, including Florence's Gerard Loft, which will have a special display window until July 3.
It is noteworthy that for the first time in a long time, an American publication talks about the success of the international brand on the Russian market. For example, a note on the Footwearnews website says that Bikkembergs has expanded its presence in the markets of Russia and Eastern Europe, opening stores in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, as well as in Morocco. And next month, it is going to open a new flagship store in the Moscow shopping center "Evropeysky".
Let us recall that one of Gosha Rubchinskiy’s latest projects was a collaboration with Kanye West’s Yeezy brand. The two creatives broke off their relationship earlier this year. Rubchinskiy’s new collaboration with Bikkembergs and a longread in Footwearnews may indicate the designer’s renewed ambitions to invest in his own brand.
