Birkenstock has released the second part of its collaboration with Denis Thibaud.

Birkenstock has released its second collaboration with Louis Vuitton shoe designer Denis Thibaud as part of the Birkenstock 1774 Ensemble project. The new collection builds on the initial release in October, which saw the introduction of three new silhouettes: Goerlitz, Uerzell and Stroedt.

Now, in the second part of the collaboration, the brands return to these shapes, but with new colors and materials. Each model is equipped with Birkenstock's signature blue insole, inspired by the brand's orthopedic heritage.

French designer Denis Thibault has been working in the footwear industry for over 15 years. He began his career at Kris Van Assche as a shoe and accessories designer, then joined the LVMH group in 2015 at Christian Dior Couture, where he collaborated with Kim Jones on shoe collections and contributed to capsule collections of clothing, such as Air Dior and ERL.

Denis also played a key role in the development of the Dior and Birkenstock collaboration, which launched in January 2022. Thibaud then joined the Louis Vuitton men's studio team, working alongside men's creative director Pharrell Williams. The designer oversees the fashion house's men's accessories and footwear collections.

The collab is already presented on the website 1774.com, where the German brand presents the results of its collaboration with invited designers who are called upon to give their fresh take on its heritage.
