Bottega Veneta launches a craft academy

The Italian brand, owned by Kering, has opened Accademia Labor et Ingenium, a craft school that will enroll just 50 students each year.

The Academy, named after the brand's core values of "Labor et Ingenium" (Craft and Creativity), is "a strategic pillar for preserving the unique artisanal aspect of Bottega Veneta," said Bottega Veneta CEO Leo Rongone.

The Academy is located in Italy, between the Bottega Veneta atelier in Montebello Vicentino and the new premises at the brand's production site in Povolaro Deuville. It will provide an opportunity for its employees, newcomers and incoming students to learn from master craftsmen. The academy will annually recruit 50 students, who will be guaranteed employment in the company after completing the course.
