Boxberry increased its network in Russia to 4500 branches

The Boxberry delivery service already covers 670 settlements in Russia. Since January 2023, the number of network branches has increased by 5% and has 4500 points. The company has an affiliate program for small businesses and also actively sells franchises.

Participation in the Boxberry affiliate program allows entrepreneurs to earn additional income using existing resources, and without significant investments. There are currently 4468 partner branches in the Boxberry network.

In April 2023, Boxberry launched a logistics office franchise. This format is fundamentally different from the affiliate program. The franchisee launches a full-fledged business, the basis of income for which is not the issuance, but the commission for sending clients attracted by the entrepreneur. A logistics office can bring the owner from 380 thousand rubles monthly. Currently, more than 70 Boxberry franchises have been sold: 7 logistics offices have already opened and started working, the rest are preparing to open in the near future.

Boxberry branches provide about 20 types of services. 4461 locations accept orders from online stores for shipment, 4318 branches accept parcels from individuals and goods from private classifieds sites, and 4416 branches accept returns. Try-on options are available at 4239 locations.

In Russia as a whole, in 2023 the share of orders issued in Boxberry branches is 63%, and orders received – 37%. In the regions of the central zone, the shares of issuances and shipments are approximately equal: 55% and 45%, respectively. The closer to the Far East, the more prevalent issuance: 82% and 18% in the cities of Primorye.

“This is due to the characteristics of the region: the population in the Far East is smaller than in the central part of Russia, and proximity to China also affects it. Due to geographical distance, buyers from other regions order mainly local or unique goods from Primorye online stores, rather than everyday goods. Therefore, there are significantly fewer shipments,” explains Alexander Miturich, director of the Boxberry regional network.

More than half of the deliveries (52%) are orders from online stores, the rest are shipments from private clients, including parcels from classified sites.

Delivery with opening and completeness check is carried out for 39% of orders from online stores. For only 9% of orders, sellers include a fitting service.

The share of prepaid orders from online stores is 72%, only 28% are delivered with payment upon receipt. 6% of purchases go towards returns.

By the end of 2024, the company expects to increase its network in the Russian Federation to 5000 branches.
