Architectural shoe brand Nicholas Kirkwood is shutting down

British designer Nicholas Kirkwood has taken the decision to shut down his eponymous shoe brand after 18 years of development. Founded in 2005, Nicholas Kirkwood is a luxury brand known for its innovative and architectural footwear.

“I think the brand has run its course in many ways,” Kirkwood said. He also hinted at a challenging time for the shoe industry.

In 2020, the designer bought the brand from LVMH. Obviously, in recent years, many independent brands have faced serious economic difficulties. Recall that the end of 2022 was also marked by Closing fashion brand Raf Simons.
