This shoe is not intended to be worn and is intended to serve as a tribute to one of the centuries-old forms of Chinese art.
Wei created eight hand-painted unique designs with traditional Chinese characters and patterns. Shoes were on display at the Paris Sergio Rossi boutique until October 21 to coincide with the FIAC Annual Fair of Contemporary Art.
Peng Wei received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Nanjing University in 1997. From 2000 to 2006, she was the editor of Yishu Magazine (Journal of Contemporary Chinese Art). In his works, Wei always adheres to a combination of oriental mood and classical beauty, km.ru writes.
