Former CEO of Crocs, an American shoe brand, and his son are launching a new brand of molded shoe in the United States called Joybees, writes Worldfootwear.com.
The company, based in Denver, Colorado in the USA, began the development of a new brand of injection shoes by launching a line that included five basic shoe models - sandals for every day, sandals for dancing, slippers, sneakers and sandals for traveling.
The core values of the new brand are “comfort, lightness and innovation”. “These are low-priced shoes made from EVA and are lightweight, strong and durable. It is great for travel, as it is easy to clean, ”comments Kellen McCarvel, Joybees CEO.
Board member and adviser John McCarvel and Joybees CEO Kellen McCarvel are familiar with the injection industry since they previously served as CEO and merchandising manager at Crocs. John McCarvel left Crocs in 2014 when Andrew Rees, the current president of the Crocs brand, took his place.
“Thanks to our experience and industry ties, we have a unique opportunity to work with leading designers and manufacturers, who, as a rule, interact only with well-known brands. I have worked with many brands that have successfully developed. I really want to see how the Joybees will fill an empty niche of affordable shoes for the whole family, ”commented John McCarvel.
The company will start by launching a line of sandals and models of injection shoes, which, according to its management, is currently lacking in the market. The first line will include several types of sandals, including slippers and sandals with straps for women and children's slippers. The price of the model will vary from $ 19.99 - 27.99. After the successful launch of the first line, the brand will switch to the production of other types of shoes.
