WL Gore & Associates conducted a training course in the Dolomites of the European Trailrun Camp under the GORE-TEX Experience Tour for adventure seekers. From 21 to 24 July, four Russians won a ticket to the camp. Our compatriots embarked on a dream journey for the first time in the history of the GORE-TEX Experience Tour.
The winners from Russia (I. Petrov, A. Rostovtsev, M. Aleshina and N. Lukyanets), as well as their “colleagues” from other European countries, will have classes with mountain running professionals and coaches, as well as a chance to find a partner to participate in an international marathon GORE-TEX Transalpine Run 2011, official registration for which has already closed. On the eve of the start of the European Trailrun Camp, the Russian project participants spoke about the preparations for the event. “In order not to miss anything on the project, I equip myself in full. I take with me 3 pairs of shoes with a GORE-TEX membrane, 2-3 sets of clothes and, without fail, pants and a jacket with GORE-TEX. It is not a fact that I will have time to use everything, but these things should always be in reserve - as a last resort, I can share with someone, ”Petrov says about the equipment.

Artem Rostovtsev, by his own admission, went to the Dolomites with a stock of Salomon clothing based on GORE-TEX membrane technology. Artem Rostovtsev is one of the three strongest multisportsmen in Russia; over the past 5 years, he has twice become a winner in this nomination. Member of the Russian national team in the Sky Running discipline (running at height), grade 3 rescuer, instructor of the Russian Red Cross First Aid course, participant in Old Spice Africa Expedition 2007, Transalpine Run 2010.
Maria Aleshina took with her to the Alps a jacket with a GORE-TEX membrane, since a storm warning has been in force in the region for the entire period of the European Trailrun Camp.
M. Aleshina has been participating in adventure races since 2007, won prizes in Tahko Arena Adventure Race, Finland, Bike Adventure 2008, Belgorod Aventure raid, lite, daily ski marathon Romashkovsky Challenge 2009 and 2010, Aventure Raid 2009.
Natalya Lukyanets, like all other Russian participants of the European Trailrun Camp, sees the main task of the adventure to get to the international marathon across the Alps GORE-TEX Transalpine Run 2011 - the main sporting event of this fall.
Natalya Lukyanets is a European and world champion among juniors in acheri-biathlon. Participant and winner of adventure races, including X-Crimea 2005, Ukraine, Panasonic Adventures Race 2005, Winter Racing 2010, Tanko Adventures Race 2010, Finland, Trans-Baikal 2010.
