WL Gore & Associates conducted a training course in the Dolomites of the European Trailrun Camp for the GORE-TEX Experience Tour adventure program. From July 21-24, four Russians won a ticket to the camp. Our compatriots embarked on a dream journey for the first time in the history of the GORE-TEX Experience Tour.
Winners from Russia (I. Petrov, A. Rostovtsev, M. Aleshina and N. Lukyanets), as well as their “colleagues” from other European countries, will have classes with mountain run professionals and trainers, as well as a chance to find a partner to participate in the international marathon GORE-TEX Transalpine Run 2011, the official registration of which is already closed. On the eve of the launch of the European Trailrun Camp, the Russian participants in the project spoke about the preparations for the event. “In order not to miss anything on the project, I am outfitting in full. I take with me 3 pairs of shoes with a GORE-TEX membrane, 2-3 sets of clothes and, without fail, pants and a jacket with GORE-TEX. It’s not a fact that I’ll manage to use everything, but these things should always be in reserve - in extreme cases, I can share it with someone, ”I. Petrov says about the equipment.

Artem Rostovtsev, by his own admission, went to the Dolomites with a stock of Salomon clothes based on GORE-TEX membrane technology. Maria Aleshina took with her to the Alps a jacket with a GORE-TEX membrane, since a storm warning has been in force in the region for the entire period of the European Trailrun Camp.
M. Aleshina has been participating in adventure races since 2007, won prizes in the Tahko Arena Adventure Race, Finland, Bike Adventure 2008, Belgorod Adventure Raid, lite, the daily ski marathon Romashkovsky Challenge 2009 and 2010, Adventure Raid 2009.
Natalya Lukyanets, as well as all other Russian participants of the European Trailrun Camp, sees the main task of the adventure to get to the international marathon through the Alps GORE-TEX Transalpine Run 2011 - the main sporting event of this fall.
Natalya Lukyanets is the champion of Europe and the world among juniors in aceri biathlon. Participant and winner of adventure races, including X-Crimea 2005, Ukraine, Panasonic Adventures Race 2005, Winter Racing 2010, Tanko Adventures Race 2010, Finland, Trans-Baikal 2010.
