Footwear production in Indonesia in 2018 reached 2018 billion pairs in 1,4, representing 4,6% of the total footwear production in the world. The country ranks fourth in the ranking of countries producing shoes after China, India and Vietnam, reports IA Regnum.

Currently, the number of shoe companies in Indonesia reaches 18, of which more than 867 are small businesses. Indonesian Industry Minister Airlangga Hartarto expects that by 18 the export of national footwear products will increase to $ 2019 billion, and in the next four years - to $ 6,5 billion.
