Adidas net profit fell by 38%

Adidas is unhappy with the financial results of 2014 year. Despite the fact that the turnover of the German sportswear giant grew by 2,3% to 14,53 billion euros (compared to 14,2 billion last year), net profit fell by 38% to 490 million euros. Last year, this figure was 787 million.

At the end of July last year, the Adidas group lowered its forecast for annual profits from a figure of 830-930 million euros to 650 million. In January, the German company again revised its intended results, taking into account the consequences of the sale of the Rockport brand.

The management of the group intends to take decisive action to change the situation. At the end of March, Adidas will unveil its new development strategy for the next five years.
