French shoe designer Christian Louboutin has created a summer collection called "A La Piscine" ("In the pool" in French) for clients of the American luxury department store Neiman Marcus.
The collection features shoes and bags in neon colors, with bright prints. It also includes pet accessories, water glasses, handmade T-shirts and limited edition skateboards.
“This collection is a great example of our approach to creating exceptional experiences for our loyal customers to enrich their lives,” commented Jeffroy van Raemdonk, CEO of Neiman Marcus Group.
To this end, Louboutin also came up with an installation that transports department store customers to sunny Palm Springs, from the 80s era. “Neiman Marcus asked us to create a Spring/Summer capsule collection and pop-up stores for their clients. The start of summer gives me sweet 80s nostalgia, so I thought why not throw a pool party in Dallas to kick off the season,” the shoe designer explained.
