Clarks releases documentary for 200th anniversary
Clarks has marked its 200th anniversary with a documentary, From Somerset to the World, which tells the story of its history. The film traces the origins of the British brand, founded in 1825 on Street in Somerset, and highlights Clarks' "cultural influence and global reach".
The shoot featured celebrities and influencers who have collaborated with the brand, including musicians Liam Gallagher, Big Ut, Raekwon, British-Jamaican designer Martin Rose, Dutch designer Daniel Kahtari and more.
Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher, whose second collaboration with Clarks is due out this year, shares his childhood memories in the film: “My earliest memories of Clarks are when I went to school… Everyone was wearing them, they were a must-have item at the time. I wore Clarks throughout the 1990s, I have lots of memories of those shoes… Clarks never let me down.”
