Crocs cuts shoe production in China

The American Crocs brand has decided to reduce the volume of shoes produced in China to 10% by 2020 year. Currently, about 30% Crocs shoes are produced in the Middle Kingdom, writes Worldfootwear.com.

The US government continues to threaten higher tariffs on imports of shoes from China. The American company Crocs imports about 30% of its products from China. Assuming that the 25% tariff on shoe imports will enter into force in the United States from 1 on August 2019, the company estimates its possible loss on 2019 year at $ 5 million.

Based on this, Crocs, which has a global diversified supplier base, has decided to reduce production in China by 2020 to 10%.
