American brand Crocs continues to experiment with new footwear models. Now, its well-known molded foam clogs are being transformed into hybrid loafers. The updated Crocs Echo 2 Loafer is a collaboration between Crocs and European retailer Solebox. The model is scheduled to release on September 12.
The new model is based on the Echo 2 clog silhouette, but the forefoot is covered in smooth black leather with signature Solebox detailing and tassels, giving this casual shoe a sophisticated look.
Leather accents are also present on the strap, but despite all the extra detailing, underneath the leather are the standard Crocs Echo 2 clogs, made of Croslite foam.
The launch of the new model is accompanied by a surprise marketing campaign: the Berlin Solebox store will transform into a hair salon during the collaboration's launch. The retailer, in partnership with Black Excellence Boutique, will offer customers free haircuts.
Crocs has been experimenting with new models lately. The brand's EXP line features the moccasin-like Gallery Shoe from 2025. And most recently, the company updated an archival model with the Tembo II RO—a sneaker-like clog with a removable Polartec fleece lining for cold weather.
