The new collection of the French fashion brand Jacquemus, demonstrated in the park of the Palace of Versailles, recalled the boudoir stories of the French royal court and returned attention to dance shoes, lace tights and golfs, to pure white.
French designer Simon Porte Jacquemus always chooses non-trivial places to present his collections, creating a truly beautiful, spectacular show. After the lavender fields of Provence, the wheat fields north of Paris, the salt marshes of the Camargue and the island of Oahu in Hawaii, Versailles, celebrating the glory of Louis XIV and Marie Antoinette, is the place to showcase the new Jacquemus fall-winter 2023/24 collection called Le Chouchou.
In the park of the Palace of Versailles, he laid a red carpet 400 meters long, which served as a podium, along which half-naked models in white transparent clothes, lace and dresses in the form of balloons moved ... In a collection that awakened the imagination and recalled the boudoir stories of the French royal court, colors such as pure white and red predominated.
Colored accessories - small Bambinou handbags that can be carried in hands - looked like bright accents against the background of snow-white clothes. Shoes also drew attention - dance shoes with a strap with a square toe and high heels "hairpin". Decorated with a neat bow, they were presented in monochrome white and red colors or with a contrasting black nose to the main white and perfectly combined with lace tights and knee-highs made of Chantilly fabric strewn with roses and lilies of the valley.
