The advertising turnover in RuNet for the 2011 year amounted to 35 billion rubles.
According to a study by AnalyticResearchGroup (ARG), the annual turnover of Runet advertising systems and advertising agencies (both contextual and media) for 2011 amounted to about 35 billion rubles. By the 4-th quarter of 2011 of the year, the market volume approached the mark of 27 billion rubles, comparing with the annual indicator of 2010 of the year. Thus, in the 3 quarter, sales in the Russian online advertising sector increased by 10,5 billion rubles, and the growth amounted to 57%.
The share of contextual advertising in the entire volume of advertising in the Russian-speaking segment of the network is 66% versus 34% for display advertising. It is worth noting that in the 2007 year this advantage was not so pronounced: 52% versus 48% in favor of contextual ads.
Throughout 2010 - 2011 years, thanks to the active penetration of the Internet, the segment of online advertising in the Russian Federation showed the highest growth dynamics. Already in 2010, it was recognized as the largest in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. Its growth over the 2010 year was also the most significant among the 25 European countries.
In the total volume of advertising by means of its distribution, advertising on the Internet is 15%. The leader in this indicator is television, its share is 49%. Advertising in print media takes up 16% of the total.
By 2020, the Russian advertising market will increase by almost 2,5 times compared to the current year, and the share of the Internet segment in the distribution of advertising budgets will grow by more than 30%, according to RBC. Market Research.
