Detsky Mir Group of Companies presented unaudited operating results for the 1 quarter of the 2016 year ending March 31 of the 2016 year.
The Group's consolidated unaudited revenue increased by 35% to RUB 16,4 billion. compared to 12,2 billion rubles. in the 1st quarter of 2015;
Comparable sales (like-for-like) of the Detsky Mir chain of stores grew by 13,1%[1] (an increase in the number of checks at 0,9% and an increase in the size of the average check at 12,1%);
The number of the Group's stores increased to 429 with a total sales area of 495 thousand sq. M. m. In the first quarter of 2016, 4 new stores of the Detsky Mir chain were opened.
“Significant revenue growth was mainly due to increased load of stores opened in 2015 and 2014, as well as an increase in comparable sales by 13,1%,” commented Detsky Mir Group General Director Vladimir Chirakhov.
At Detsky Mir Group, they will continue to implement policies to curb rising prices for children's goods and strive to conclude new supply agreements with foreign partners in Russian currency.
In 2016, Detsky Mir Group of Companies plans to open at least 50 new super and hypermarkets, including five stores in Kazakhstan.
