Detsky Mir increased gift card sales by 22%

In 2016, the revenue of the Detsky Mir chain of stores from the sale of gift cards and electronic certificates increased by 22%, amounting to 1,58 billion rubles.

The most significant growth dynamics were noted in the segment of B2B sales - 48%. The most popular denominations of gift cards were 500 and 1000 rubles.

“For the convenience of customers, last year we launched gift cards with a flexible denomination. Now our customers can independently choose the face value of cards and formulate a gift budget in the range from 300 to 50 000 rubles. with an enrollment step in 100 rubles, ”said Tatyana Mudretsova, marketing director of Detsky Mir Group.

A gift card is an effective solution for implementing internal programs to increase staff loyalty, conducting motivational projects for customers and partners, promotional events and promotions when promoting goods and / or services.

The Detsky Mir Group of Companies unites the retail chains of Detsky Mir and ELC - Early Development Center. The Detsky Mir chain of stores consists of 482 format supermarkets and hypermarkets in 179 cities of Russia and Kazakhstan, the ELC retail chain includes 45 stores. The trading area of ​​the Detsky Mir chain stores is 594 thousand sq. M. m., ELC - 5 thousand sq. m. At the end of 2016, the revenue of Detsky Mir Group amounted to 79,5 billion rubles, net profit - 3,8 billion rubles.
