DHL launches shoe collection with South African footwear brand Veldskoen
A logistics company and a shoe brand have teamed up to launch a collection of 365 pairs of handmade shoes dubbed "Dear Everyone". The collection features flat-soled boots with a colorful DEAR print on the upper. The recognizable red and yellow DHL logo is placed on the heel.
Each pair of the DHL x Veldskoen collaboration is handcrafted in Durban with a total of 66 pairs of hands and features side panel murals by local artist Reggie Kumalo, as well as subtle nods to South Africa.
In recent years, DHL has featured several fashion collaborations, including the release of a t-shirt with Vetements in 2016. But this is the company's first collaboration with an African brand.
