American clothing and footwear brand Dockers has entered into a distribution partnership with China's Orbico Group and intends to expand its presence in Europe, particularly in markets such as Italy, Spain, Portugal, the UK, and Central Asia.
The agreement with Orbico Group was signed with Authentic Brands Group, which acquired the Dockers clothing and footwear brand from Levi Strauss & Co. last May.
Interestingly, Orbico Group, a major distributor in Central and Eastern Europe, began expanding into Russia two years ago through its subsidiary, Orbico Style LLC, which launched an online store and retail outlet under the Nonconform brand, as well as a local footwear brand, NCF. In June of this year, it closed all its retail operations in Russia. The online store, nonconform.ru, also ceased operations.
And products from the brands with which Orbico entered Russia (Converse, Kikers, Dr. Martens, UGG, Save the Duck, PEAK, Xtep, Ecoalf, Vegtus, Blauer, Colmar, K-swiss) are now available in the multi-brand networks of its partners.
