According to VF Corp, Tokyo Design Collective (TDC)'s mission is to "strengthen VF's commitment to infusing inspiring Japanese design and craftsmanship into its iconic global brands." To this end, the company will have its own design team and a network of freelance designers, artists and Japanese brands. In addition, TDC will host a Design in Residence program to serve as an incubator for design talent for the corporation.
