By the end of 2025, Moscow expects to commission almost 400 thousand square meters of retail space

According to the consulting company NF GROUP, another 2025 shopping centers are expected to open in the capital by the end of 24, in addition to the five already commissioned in the first quarter.

Thus, by the end of the year, a total of 391,4 thousand square meters of rentable space may appear on the market, which may become an absolute record for the period 2017–2024, where the maximum number of openings with a total rentable area of 359,6 thousand square meters occurred in 2021.

Currently, there is one district-format shopping center in Moscow, the Botanica Mall shopping center (GLA – 28,5 thousand sq. m) as part of the Botanical Garden transport hub, which has become the largest of those opened in the current quarter, as well as three district-format facilities: the ZOOM ZILART Department Store in the ZIL area (GLA – 19,5 thousand sq. m), AFI Gallery near the Belorussky railway station (GLA – 14,7 thousand sq. m) and the Vityaz Meeting Place in the Konkovo area (GLA – 10,9 thousand sq. m).

The last opened microdistrict format shopping center is the Zernyshko shopping center in the residential area of the Lyublino district (GLA – 4,6 thousand sq. m).
