John Galliano refused to use natural fur

Creative director of the luxury brand Maison Margiela, John Galliano, announced his refusal to use natural fur when creating fashion collections, writes Vogue.

Thus, Maison Margiela joined a group of luxury brands such as Gucci, Versace and Michael Kors, who recently made the same statement, and in whose collections from now on we will not find either natural fur products, or coatings, or fur trimmings. Giorgio Armani made the decision to abandon fur back in 2016.

Galliano’s decision to abandon the use of natural fur when creating collections was partly influenced by his transition to vegetarianism, as well as his great love for his dog Jeepsey.
