Jonathan Anderson is the new creative director of Dior Homme, Bernard Arnault, chairman and CEO of LVMH, which owns the brand, announced.
On March 17, Anderson left his post as creative director of Loewe, and rumors have long circulated in the fashion market about his imminent appointment to Dior.
Jonathan Anderson will replace Kim Jones, who left Dior in January last year, as creative director of men's fashion for Dior.
Anderson will present his first collection for Dior in June at Paris Fashion Week.
Jonathan Anderson was born in Northern Ireland in 1984 and graduated from the London College of Fashion in 2005. His first job in fashion was as a visual merchandiser at Prada, where he worked alongside photographer Manuela Pavesi.
In 2008, he founded his eponymous brand. In 2013, he became creative director of the Spanish fashion house Loewe, where he worked until March 17, 2025. He was succeeded in this position by designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, founders of the American avant-garde fashion brand Proenza Schlouer.
