Ecco has integrated its ERP systems

Danish footwear brand Ecco has completed the integration of its ERP systems on SAP platforms in Denmark and Microsoft Dynamics Ax in Russia as part of the EDI electronic data exchange project.

According to company representatives, the integration of ERP systems will significantly simplify the interaction of the manufacturer - Ecco SKO A / S and the Russian distributor - Ekko-Ros, which should ensure greater clarity in the implementation of the order of goods, their confirmation, timely and reliable receipt of information on deliveries, and also regular automated reporting by the supplier.

“The European EDIFACT standard was chosen as the format for data exchange between ERP systems, on the basis of which the integration of the Danish ERP system SAP and the accounting systems of Ecco partners in a number of other countries have already been implemented. We followed the same path when integrating with the ERP-system Microsoft Dynamics Ax in Russia, ”explained Sergey Prokhorov, CIO Ecco in Russia.

The main tasks that were set during the integration project are the simplification and unification of electronic document management between Russian and Danish companies, automation of reporting, minimizing data discrepancies in the exchange of electronic documents, as well as simplifying work on ordering goods and minimizing personnel errors.

“Previously, we had to ensure the work of Russian managers in several electronic information exchange systems, including SAP and additional software, some of the electronic documents were transmitted by e-mail, which often caused discrepancies in data, a delay and difficulties in controlling deliveries, and also required to attract more specialists from both the Danish and the Russian side on the implementation of cooperation on placing an order, planning supplies and reporting. Integration of our ERP-systems eliminated these difficulties and significantly simplified the work of assortment, logistics and accounting specialists. By receiving automated sales analytics accurate to the store, we can now optimize the collection offer for Russia for Russia as well, ”said Svetlana Becker, Ecco Sales Director for EMEA.
