Ecco Leather, a division of the Ecco footwear company, has assembled a strong design team of Natasha Ramsay-Levy, Bianca Saunders, Isaac Reina, Kostas Mourkoudis and architect Bernard Dubois as guest designers for the At.Kollektive project.
Ecco Leather's new design project aims to work with top designers to offer "carefully crafted collections" spanning footwear, interiors, furniture, accessories, leather goods and ready-to-wear.
The project marks the first consumer-oriented Ecco Leather product, each designer participating in At.Kollektive will present nine unique limited edition pieces.
The debut collection "At.Kollektive" will be presented at the Palais de Tokyo during the upcoming Men's and Fashion Week in Paris this summer.
For Natasha Ramsay Levy, the Ecco Leather project will be her first since leaving Chloé and will be her debut in furniture design. Bianca Saunders will also make her debut in furniture design at At.Kollektive, presenting a lounge chair, as well as bags and shoes, focusing on the unique ability of leather to mold itself to the shape of the wearer's body.
While Isaac Reyna will draw on his experience at Hermès to create a collection of bags and shoes that celebrate "clean lines, crisp curves and graceful angles." Murkoudis, known for his collaborations with Helmut Lang and his eponymous label, will pay close attention to Ecco's leather processing techniques to showcase "the very best in leather craftsmanship." He will also present shoes that combine sneakers and sandals.
