A presentation of the new collection of the Danish shoe brand Ecco took place in Moscow, at which the new strategy of the company was announced. In recent years, the brand has invested heavily in technological innovation, but stayed away from the race of brands for the attention of fashionistas, now Ecco will remind about myself and in the world of fashion.
The company began to collaborate with fashion Japanese designer Mihara Yasuhiro, in collaboration with which a collection of Ecco shoes was released, which was presented at Paris Fashion Week. In addition, the brand launches collaborations with other designers and fashion brands, such as with the brand The Last Conspiracy. We will hear about some of them already this year.
Shoes created with the participation of fashion designers are highlighted in a separate line and will be presented worldwide in individual retail stores of the brand. Prices for these models will be higher than prices for models of a regular collection. One of such brand conceptual stores opened on January 5 in Moscow on Petrovka Street.
It is in such retail that you can find Ecco Biom C sneakers made of innovative ultra-thin Dyneema leather, which was developed just a couple of years ago by the brand’s technologists.
The main spring-summer'19 Ecco collection does not go far from the traditions of the Danish brand of comfortable shoes. It includes signature travel sandals, on soft ergonomic soles with wide straps wrapping around the foot, thin leather hiker boots with fabric lining, and classic men's suede boots. In the women's collection you can find light ballet shoes, sandals with a steady heel, soft leather T-shirts and other models.
It is also worth noting that this season, for the first time, Ecco released children's and teenage models of shoes on the “semolina”, the sole was facilitated by a polyurethane filler, due to which the shoes are relatively lightweight.
