The Yegoryevsk-Obuv company, producing children's shoes under the Kotofey brand and developing the retail chain of the same name, announced the purchase of 100% of the shares in Obuvprom CJSC, Syzran (TM Top-Top).
The deal was closed in February 2017, the company does not disclose the amount of the deal. According to Andrey Kapusta, Marketing Director of Egoryevsk-Obuv, the acquisition of a new factory in Syzran increases the total production capacity of Egorievsk-Obuv to 3,5 million pairs per year, and also diversifies the brand portfolio, which now includes the brand low price segment. In Syzran, the reconstruction of production areas and the completion of the equipment park have begun to increase capacities and implement new technologies for this production site.
In addition to the new factory in Syzran, the Yegoryevsk-Obuv company owns three more full-cycle production sites in Russia, which are located in the cities of Yegoryevsk, Kursk, and Zaraysk. The company also places orders for the production of shoes and accessories at third-party factories - in China, Italy, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Branded retail with an assortment of Kotofey children's shoes is developing by franchising and today has 140 stores in Russia.
